Aegean Airlines has announced four new flights between Istanbul and the Greek Islands and a new flight between Izmir and Thessaloniki. If you’re dreaming of a table by the sea, a glass of cool ouzo, a dazzling sunset and fun beaches, get your passport ready. Previously, reaching these islands meant a long journey via Athens. Now, with a flight of approximately 1 hour from Istanbul, you can step directly into the heart of the Greek islands. Pegasus airline started its flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen airport to two Greek islands (Rhodes, Lesbos) twice a week on June 1, 2023. However, Aegean Airlines is increasing its number of locations by organizing direct flights to 4 Greek islands for the 2025 summer season. The Greek islands are always a center of attraction with their whitewashed houses, deep blue waters and unique atmosphere. Now it is easier to reach these islands. As of the 2025 season, four iconic islands of the Aegean will be connected to Istanbul with direct flights. Moreover, these lines will continue after the summer season.
